Krishna devotees across the globe are eagerly looking forward to getting their Laddu Gopals decked up for Krishnashtami celebrations. Laddu Gopal’s birth anniversary is celebrated on the festival of Krishnashtami, also known as Krishna Janmashtami. His devotees make him wear shimmery clothes, a new crown of peacock feathers, and decorate his flute using beautiful ornaments.
Lord Krishna chose a flute made of bamboo as his preferred musical instrument. His flute so melodious and divine that when he played it, the grass in Vrindavan stood up making it easier for the cows to chew and eat them.

Materials you would need
- A real flute made of bamboo
- Beads
- Paintbrush and watercolors
- Thread
- Scissor
- Small metallic bells
- Peacock feather
- Thin ribbon
Procedure
- Take a flute made of bamboo. Start coloring it using your favorite choice of colors and a paintbrush.
- Once done, keep it aside and let it dry.
- Take 4 small metallic bells and insert them into a small colorful thread. Tie a knot after it’s done and keep it aside. Make 4 of these to decorate your Krishna’s flute.
- Now cut the same thread into ten-inch pieces with the help of a scissor.
- Once done, take each set of small metallic bells and insert them into the thread.
- Fold the thread in half and start inserting beads inside it.
- Once done, tie a knot and repeat the same for the other 3 threads as well.
- In the next step, you would need a thin ribbon. Make sure the color of the ribbon matches the flute’s color. Cut a decent size of ribbon and tie all the 4 beaded threads together to it.
- Now tie this ribbon around the flute. You can simply use extra beads and glue to hide the knot of the ribbon and make it look more perfect.
- In the last step, you can use a peacock feather on your Krishna flute and enhance its overall look.
